The ALL ME® Podcast

Introduction Episode

The Taylor Hooton Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization leading a national campaign to enlighten the world to the truths about Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances including anabolic steroids, human growth hormone, energy drinks and dietary supplements.

The Taylor Hooton Foundation was founded in 2004 in memory of Taylor E. Hooton, a 17-year old high school athlete from Texas. Taylor took his own life on July 15, 2003, after using anabolic steroids. Taylor’s parents, family and friends founded the organization after learning of the growing number of middle school, high school and college students dangerously using anabolic steroids, HGH (human growth hormone), dietary supplements, Energy Drinks and other Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances.

Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances are associated with serious physical and psychiatric side effects.  While these substances have a long history in sport and competition, studies have found millions of young people are also turning to Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances with the idea that they will improve their physical appearance.  One of the ways the Taylor Hooton Foundation is spreading the word about the truths of Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances is through our ALL ME® assembly programs. While they’re available for everyone, the programs can also be specifically geared to middle school through university students, along with nurses, parents, sports medicine professionals and law enforcement. Topics include the truths of Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances as well as Nutrition and Dietary Supplement Safety.

To date, our ALL ME® assembly programs have been presented directly to over two million young people, coaches, parents and other adult influencers and are available for grades 6-12, university audiences and adults. These multimedia programs are 45-60 minutes in length. Contact us at info@taylorhooton.org to schedule a presentation at your school or venue.

The ALL ME® Podcast is one of the tools The Taylor Hooton Foundation will use to educate people about this topic.  This will be done by interviewing guests who can share their stories and knowledge about Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances.

A special thank you to Sports Anchor/Reporter, Joe Trahan, for lending his amazing voice for the podcast.  You can follow Joe on twitter @JoeTrahan
